The Challenge
Mochi Health needed a streamlined, cost-effective way to track employee attendance using a familiar platform. They envisioned a custom Google Sheets solution that functioned like a timesheet app—simplifying data entry and providing real-time insights into working shifts. The challenge was to tailor this tool to their specific workflow and attendance policies, ensuring ease of use and seamless integration with their existing processes.
The Result
I developed a comprehensive employee tracking system in Google Sheets, integrating advanced features with Google Apps Script to automate critical workflows. The solution includes an interactive timesheet dashboard where managers can input and review employee schedules, filter data by week, shift, or position, and update attendance statuses such as "Present," "PTO," "AWOL," or "Unpaid."
A dedicated employee directory stores essential contact information, enabling automated email notifications powered by Apps Script. Employees receive instant updates whenever their schedules change or when they are marked as AWOL or placed on PTO.
This solution eliminates manual follow-ups, ensures real-time communication, and provides a centralized, efficient system for managing workforce operations—making it a “one-stop solution” for scheduling, attendance tracking, and automated employee notifications.
